On behalf of Carlsberg Malaysia, I am proud to share with the public that Top Ten Charity Campaign is the flagship Chinese community engagement project of Carlsberg Malaysia. With our long-standing partnership with Nanyang Siang Pau and China Press since 1987. Top Ten Charity Campaign continues to be the record holder of Malaysia book of record, as the ‘Highest Funds Raised’ and ‘Longest Running Chinese Charity Show’.
Over the last 27 years, Top Ten Charity Campaign accumulated RM520 million for 599 schools and institution. Despite the economic slowdown, Carlsberg Malaysia announced that it would continue to support our flagship Chinese charity campaign Top Ten by increasing the no of roadshows from last year 8 shows to 14 shows this year in 2014. Based on the feedback from schools, this year’s Top Ten is moving into both sub-urban & urban towns to raise funds for beneficiary schools. This is once again proof of Carlsberg Malaysia’s effort in supporting and promoting Chinese culture and education.
Over the years, Top Ten has continued to improve itself. Besides supporting Chinese education and providing an unique experience to the audience, Carlsberg Malaysia together with its partners have put tremendous efforts into the project by revamping the concept of performances, short listing high quality of artistes and enhancing the promotional strategy.
Being a well rounded charity campaign, Top Ten provides a platform for schools to raise fund as well as activities to foster a closer rapport between the students and their parents or teachers. We introduced the Parent-Child or Teacher-Student singing competition last year and received overwhelming support and this competition will once again be featured in our campaign this year.
To complement the singing competition, we are pleased to announce the partnership of Red Box & Green Box Karaoke, another long-standing customer of Carlsberg Malaysia, as the official partner for 2013 Top Ten Charity Campaign. Backed with the tremendous support from Red Box this year, I am sure that our partnership will make Top Ten greater, bigger and better this year.
