About Carlsberg Malaysia Top Ten Charity Campaign

《十大义演》是一项由马来西亚Carlsberg集团全力赞助主办,南洋商报和中国报联合主办,宗旨为本地华教发展筹款的慈善活动及协助推广本地娱乐圈。

自1987年,当时马来西亚经济陷入低潮期,许多华校在政府半津贴的情况下面对资金不足的困境。在南洋商报的大力推动和马来西亚Carlsberg集团在经济上全力支持,北上南下,东征西讨,通过主办一系列的全国巡回义演为有需要的学校和团体筹款。

在28年里,在各界人士的拥护和支持下,《十大义演》如今更成为本地一个倍受尊崇、高透明度和可靠的学校筹款平台。《十大义演》迄今已成功协助本地超过613所华校及团体筹获逾4亿7560万令吉的华文教育发展基金并继续增长。然而如今,仍然有许多华校面对基本设施不足、简陋校舍及惨遭白蚁蛀蚀的危楼、缺乏硬体和软体设备等情况。

除此之外,《十大义演》在为华教和团体筹募款项之际,也借助这一个舞台让本地更多有潜力的本地艺人参与大型演出及社会公益活动,造就了无数的歌手在国际娱乐圈为国争光。

《十大义演》与华社在推广华教拥有着紧紧相系的历史故事。无论前方的路有多曲折,《十大义演》承诺将继续与华社站在同一阵线,无条件为传承华文教育努力,创造更多更美好的28年。

The Top Ten Charity Campaign is a community project fully funded by Carlsberg Malaysia and organized with two local Chinese media companies Nanyang Siang Pau and China Press which is aimed to provide a fund raising platform for the development of local Chinese education and further promote the local music industry.

The Top Ten Charity Campaign was initiated by Nanyang Siang Pau and fully sponsored by Carlsberg Malaysia. The campaign was organized for fund raising purposes through charity road shows across the country to aid Chinese schools and institutions during the economic crisis in Malaysia since 1987.

Top Ten Charity Campaign has over the past 28 years through many supports from all walks of life, successfully raised more than RM 438 million Chinese education development funds for over 613 beneficiaries.

Besides providing funds for Chinese schools and institutions, the Top Ten Charity Campaign also provides an opportunity to further promote local talents through live performances, at the same time an encouragement to participate in charity events.

The Top Ten Charity Campaign continues to nurture its close relationship in upgrading the level of education in the Chinese community despite the challenges encountered.
